Overview
Surf: A Culture in Motion is a curated book that explores the evolution and spirit of surf culture. Featuring articles by five authors, it blends historical insight with striking surf photography and dynamic design elements.
For the design, I focused on capturing the rhythm and movement of the ocean through expressive typography and grid layouts. The photography was selected to complement the content and convey the essence of surfing.
This book was my senior capstone project at Washington University in St. Louis. The completed project includes a 103-page printed book and a custom backdrop display used during the final presentation.
